Community of Hope Health Clinic

The Community of Hope Health Clinic is a Volunteers in Medicine healthcare clinic located in the Department of Health building in Pelham, Alabama. It is a non-profit faith-based community organization that provides free, non-emergent medical care to low-income Shelby County adults who have no health insurance.

Staffed primarily by volunteers, CHHC sees patients by appointment only.  Patients are seen on Mondays and Thursday evenings. With only three paid employees, CHHC is fortunate to have many volunteers who make this clinic possible. Doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, receptionists and chaplains from the community donate their time to provide medical services to almost 200 patients a month.

Volunteers, especially physicians, are always needed. Please call 685-4154 to find out how you can help.
